Anjar is a Master of Environment (Advanced) student at the Fenner School of Environment & Society at the Australian National University (ANU), focusing on carbon pricing mechanisms and climate policy in emerging economies. His research explores positive tipping points for decarbonization through carbon pricing, with attention to social-ecological systems, governance, and energy transitions. He offers a Global South perspective, informed by nearly a decade of experience as an environmental officer at Indonesia’s state electricity company (PT PLN), where he led major sustainability initiatives including the country’s first Certified Emission Reduction from Muara Karang CCGPP3 project and the implementation of continuous emission monitoring systems technology. He holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering from the Bandung Institute of Technology (Indonesia), and his background adds valuable cultural and experiential diversity to the RHAPS team.
